*Now hiring for the 25/26 school year *_*- Full time - In person*_*, Speech-Language Pathologist - Multiple School Districts in Washington State*
This is a general post for full-time (37.5 hours) positions at multiple school districts in the Seattle metro area. These are W-2 hourly positions with direct and indirect paid at the same hourly rate. CFs are encouraged to apply!
\*\*$50-55/hour + a $5-15/hr in person incentive

*Certifications and Licensure Requirements:*
* Valid WA SLP license (or willing to obtain)
* Valid WA ESA certificate (or willing to obtain)
* Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence
*Your role with NLST: *
The SLP will provide remote speech therapy services to eligible. Performance responsibilities and essential functions may be as follows:
* Participate as a team member with responsibility for the identification, eligibility, and placement of speech and language impaired students.
* Assist in the development and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for assigned students and to meet individual student needs.
* Participates in staff meetings, planning events, department/special education meetings, manifestation determination meetings, FBA/BIP meetings, and eligibility, evaluation, and placement meetings.
* Communicate with other professionals providing services for students to ensure continuity and coordination of program.
* Work directly with students to implement IEP goals and objectives.
* Develop therapy schedules and provide speech language pathology (SLP) services for students with speech and language impairments from preschool through 12th grade in accordance with their IEP.
* Evaluate, implement and monitor augmentative communication devices for appropriate students including devices for deaf and hard of hearing students.
* Plan and provide clear and intentional focused instruction based upon individual student IEP goals using state standards, subject matter content and district curriculum.
* Recognize individual student learning needs and develop strategies to address those needs for the purpose of promoting individual achievement.
* Foster and manage a safe, positive learning environment for the purpose of promoting effective student behavior and success.
* Communicate and collaborate with parents and school community for the purpose of fostering student success and achievement, and meeting special education laws and policies.
* Participate in and facilitate various meetings for the purpose of addressing student goals and needs, and to meet laws and policies.  Meetings may include school and department, manifestation determination, eligibility, evaluation and placement.
* Maintain and process accurate records/documents as required by State and Federal regulations and district policy.
* Direct the work of assigned classified staff.
* Implement and comply with District policies and the Code of Professional Conduct.
* Maintain consistent attendance and conform to regular work hours specified under contract.
* Fulfill other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

* Current knowledge of assistive technology.
* Knowledge of applicable state and federal rules and regulations.
* Knowledge of subject matter/course content relevant to assignment.
* Knowledge and understanding of child development.
* Ability to effectively meet developmental needs of students.
* Ability to assess and evaluate student progress and achievement.
* Knowledge of and skills in using effective instructional strategies and practices.
* Knowledge and skill in designing and conducting specialized instruction, remediation, and evaluation.
* Ability to adapt and modify techniques and materials for effectiveness.
* Skills and abilities in organization, time management and recordkeeping.
* Ability to work independently.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
* Ability to interact positively and effectively with parents, students, staff and administrators.
* Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written formats with a variety of constituents.
* Ability to operate technology devices and specific software programs.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Ability and commitment to strengthen job-related competencies.
* Valid State driver’s license required
