Our client in Northern NJ is seeking a DevOps Engineer on a shorter term contract to hire. This position is hybrid onsite 3 days per week in the office in Northern NJ. Local candidates only/No Relocation

Key Responsibilities:
Build, maintain, and secure production infrastructure and services. Automate infrastructure build-outs and deployments (Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or similar). Troubleshoot production issues and maintain documentation, processes, and tools. Evaluate and implement new software, hardware, and infrastructure solutions. Support CI/CD pipelines. Work within AWS environments leveraging EKS, Helm, Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologies. Collaborate with development teams on scalable, high-performance microservices architectures. Required Skills & Experience:
3+ years of AWS experience (required). 2+ years of EKS and Helm experience (mandatory). Experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and container orchestration. Strong scripting/automation skills (Go, Python, Java, Shell, etc.). Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting tools. Familiarity with web technologies, LAMP stack, .NET applications, and high-availability systems. Solid understanding of networking, load balancing, and big data systems. Experience with microservices and cloud-native infrastructure. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Proven experience operating and leading complex systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
