We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in various aspects of food preparation and service. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests and local clientele.
*Responsibilities*
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
* Assist in menu planning, ensuring a variety of options that meet dietary needs.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
* Handle food safely, adhering to all food handling guidelines and regulations.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools.
* Provide additional culinary support for catering & events when needed.
* Prepare meals according to specific dietary requirements upon request.
*Experience*
* Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
* Knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling, and safety standards is essential.
* Experience working within a catering & event environment is a plus.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with FOH and BOH team members.
* A passion for cooking and providing excellent food is highly valued.
