Are you an experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operator? We have an immediate opening at our St. Louis, Missouri facility. This position is critical for the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and assist with various warehouse tasks. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of forklift operation, maintains a keen awareness of their surroundings, and adheres strictly to all Safety regulations. This role is integral to our logistics chain and requires a dedicated individual who prioritizes accuracy and workplace Safety. Proper use of PPE and adherence to all Lifting guidelines are essential components of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and trailers.
- Move inventory to and from storage locations.
- Assist with order picking and staging as needed.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize all required PPE correctly and consistently.
- Support overall logistics efficiency through effective material handling.
- Ensure safe handling practices for all materials, respecting Lifting capacity limits.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good physical coordination and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management.
