Join our dynamic team in Madison, Wisconsin as an Order Picker! This role is crucial for ensuring our customers receive the right products quickly and accurately. You'll be responsible for navigating the warehouse to locate and retrieve items for outgoing orders, contributing to the efficiency of our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order fulfillment lists.
- Verify product information and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Use of picking equipment, such as pallet jacks or RF scanners, as required.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through diligent picking practices.
- Report any damaged items or discrepancies immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed picking productivity targets.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, such as packing or staging.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand order picking lists and product labels.
- Understanding of warehouse safety guidelines and the importance of PPE.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Familiarity with basic logistics concepts is helpful.
Working Conditions:
This position requires you to be active on your feet for most of your shift within our warehouse. Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting are involved. Consistent use of required PPE is necessary for safety in this logistics role.
