Job Summary:
Are you an experienced Forklift Operator seeking a new opportunity in Des Moines, Iowa? Join our dedicated logistics team where safety and efficiency are our top priorities. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for moving, locating, and stocking materials throughout our warehouse. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain, from receiving to shipping. Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and unstack materials and products.
  • Load and unload trailers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory counts and put-away processes.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
  • Utilize RF scanners to manage inventory movements accurately.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities as needed.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
  • Valid forklift certification is preferred.
  • Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and motor skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
