We are looking for a diligent and physically capable Material Handler to join our Houston, Texas logistics team. This critical role supports the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing the flow of materials. Your responsibilities will include receiving and unloading shipments, stocking inventory, retrieving items for orders, and preparing them for dispatch. A strong emphasis is placed on safe and efficient handling of goods. You will be trained on best practices for material handling and will be required to use all provided PPE. This position requires consistent physical exertion, including significant Lifting of items up to 55 lbs and standing for long durations. Experience operating pallet jacks and other manual material handling equipment is highly valued. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming materials.
- Transport materials accurately to storage locations or staging areas.
- Stock shelves and racks, ensuring proper inventory rotation.
- Pick and prepare materials required for outgoing shipments or internal use.
- Operate manual material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in conducting physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse workspace.
- Strictly follow all company safety guidelines and wear necessary PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet operational objectives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lift and move items weighing up to 55 lbs.
- Physical capability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
- Experience with pallet jacks and hand trucks is a plus.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.
- Ability to follow directions and work well within a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Must be willing to wear required PPE.
