Join our dynamic logistics team as a Shipping Clerk in Boise, Idaho! We are looking for an organized and efficient individual to manage and coordinate all outgoing shipments. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documentation, verifying order accuracy, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that all packages are properly labeled and ready for dispatch. This role is vital to our commitment to timely and accurate order fulfillment. You will work closely with warehouse staff to ensure smooth processing of shipments. Safety is a top priority; therefore, adherence to all safety regulations and the correct use of PPE are mandatory. While this role is primarily administrative, there may be occasions where light Lifting and moving of packages is required. Experience with shipping software and a good understanding of logistics processes are essential. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping labels and documentation.
- Verify order details against shipping manifests.
- Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with various shipping carriers.
- Ensure all outgoing shipments are accurately packaged and labeled.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files.
- Communicate with internal departments and external carriers regarding shipment status.
- Track shipments and resolve any delivery issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Operate shipping-related equipment as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the shipping department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency with shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Understanding of shipping regulations and best practices.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines.
- Ability to perform light Lifting if required.
