We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse, focusing on the efficient movement and organization of materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including loading, unloading, and transferring materials within the facility. If you are physically capable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe workspace, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store materials according to established procedures.
- Move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with incoming and outgoing goods.
- Verify the accuracy of received and shipped materials.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper stock rotation and handling.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform manual Lifting of materials, employing correct Lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Operate equipment safely and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Support the logistics department in achieving operational goals.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory checks as required.
