We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our facility in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring all shipments are accurately logged, inspected, and stored. Your responsibilities will include verifying invoices against received items, identifying any discrepancies or damages, and processing paperwork efficiently. This position is fundamental to maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting our overall logistics operations. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety. - Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify quantities and specifications against purchase orders and invoices.
- Document all incoming goods accurately in the inventory system.
- Identify and report any damaged or missing items.
- Organize and stock received inventory in appropriate warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
- Support the overall logistics and warehouse team.
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in receiving, inventory control, or a related warehouse role is strongly preferred. Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of warehouse safety and logistics principles. Must be reliable and punctual.
