Join our busy shipping department in Austin, Texas, as a Shipping Clerk! We are looking for a motivated and organized individual to manage the accurate and efficient processing of outgoing shipments. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our logistics operations, ensuring that every package is prepared correctly and dispatched on time. Your responsibilities will include generating shipping labels, verifying order contents, coordinating with various shipping carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping documentation. A strong understanding of shipping best practices and a commitment to excellence in logistics are essential. We are dedicated to maintaining a safe working environment for all our employees. This includes mandatory adherence to all safety regulations and the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to handle packages and perform moderate to heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds, as needed. You will work closely with other members of the warehouse team to ensure a seamless flow of goods. Responsibilities:
- Process and document all outgoing shipments accurately.
- Create shipping labels and ensure correct postage/carrier information.
- Verify that shipment contents match order details.
- Schedule pickups with shipping carriers.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files.
- Collaborate with inventory and receiving teams.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Utilize and enforce the use of appropriate PPE.
- Conduct regular checks of shipping supplies.
- Perform lifting tasks associated with package handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and online carrier platforms.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to safety and proper PPE usage.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
