We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Dallas, Texas. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your efficiency and precision are vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive the correct items in a timely manner. This role requires you to navigate the warehouse effectively, locate items using our inventory system, and prepare them for the next stage of the shipping process. A strong commitment to workplace safety is essential, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Tasks may involve significant physical activity, including frequent bending, reaching, and lifting items up to 50 pounds. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to maintain an organized and productive work environment. Understanding the flow of goods within a warehouse and contributing to smooth logistics are key aspects of this position. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists.
- Verify picked items against order details.
- Stage items for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other lifting devices.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Properly use required PPE, such as safety glasses and gloves.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts.
- Perform lifting of products as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret order lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capability of performing lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of safety practices and PPE usage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with basic logistics procedures.
