Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing and dispatching outgoing shipments, ensuring all orders are correctly documented and packaged. This position is crucial to our supply chain operations, requiring a strong commitment to efficiency and accuracy. You will work closely with warehouse associates and logistics coordinators to streamline the shipping process. Attention to detail is paramount to prevent errors and ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and possess excellent organizational skills. Experience with shipping software and carrier portals is a plus. Responsibilities:
  • Verify and record outgoing shipment information.
  • Inspect and pack items to ensure they are ready for shipment.
  • Affix appropriate shipping labels and documentation.
  • Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and files.
  • Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with inventory counts as needed.
  • Report any discrepancies or damages immediately.
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping or a related logistics role preferred.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills.
  • Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with shipping software and carrier systems is an advantage.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
