Our Grand Rapids, Michigan distribution center is seeking energetic Order Pickers to join our fulfillment team. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of goods. You will use handheld scanners or pick lists to locate products, ensuring the correct quantity and item are selected. Careful handling of products is essential to prevent damage. A critical part of this role involves adherence to all workplace safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and contributing to a safe and organized work environment. The Order Picker must be able to stand for long periods, walk extensively, and perform frequent bending and lifting. A positive attitude and a commitment to meeting picking quotas are key. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse shelves using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify picked items and quantities against order details.
- Carefully handle products to prevent damage during picking and staging.
- Stage picked orders in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Properly use required PPE.
- Meet established picking accuracy and productivity standards.
- Participate in inventory audits as required.
- Operate pallet jacks or other manual lifting equipment.
- Perform tasks involving lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Contribute to efficient logistics and order fulfillment.
