Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of our inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and the satisfaction of our customers.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Identify and report damaged or defective inventory.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations to ensure efficient receiving and shipping processes.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives related to inventory management.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all guidelines regarding the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Logistics operations is a plus.
  • Must be able to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
  • Commitment to Safety and adherence to all warehouse protocols.
