Job Summary:
We are searching for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to oversee and manage inventory accuracy within our Chicago, Illinois warehouse. This critical role ensures that our stock levels are precise, our data is up-to-date, and our logistics operations run smoothly. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and maintaining accurate inventory records in our WMS. This position requires a sharp analytical mind and a deep understanding of inventory management principles. You will work closely with receiving, shipping, and order fulfillment teams to resolve stock issues and prevent future inaccuracies. A strong focus on safety is essential; you will ensure that all inventory management activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and that appropriate PPE is used. Duties also include managing stock rotation, identifying slow-moving or obsolete inventory, and recommending adjustments to optimize stock levels. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in inventory control, preferably in a fast-paced logistics environment. Your ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions will be key to success. Frequent lifting of items up to 30 lbs may be required during audits or stock movements. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
