This role is essential for the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and organize products. Your duties will also include loading and unloading trucks, assisting with inventory management, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Place received goods in designated storage areas, ensuring proper placement and organization.
- Transport products to and from various departments within the facility.
- Conduct regular equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory control activities, such as cycle counts and stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Follow all safety guidelines and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards or concerns to supervisors.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations of the facility.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification is mandatory.
- Proficiency in operating various types of warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of safe material handling techniques and warehouse safety regulations.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts as needed.
