Our Orlando, Florida facility is looking for a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, inspecting shipments for damages, verifying quantities against manifests, and accurately entering receiving data into our inventory system. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy are essential. This role is critical to our supply chain, ensuring that we have the correct inventory available for our operations. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect goods for any damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Verify the accuracy of received items against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record all receiving information into the warehouse management system.
- Tag and label incoming inventory appropriately.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to management immediately.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience in a receiving or warehouse role preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Familiarity with inventory management software is a plus.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Good communication skills.
