Our busy distribution center in Columbus, Ohio is looking for energetic and reliable Picker/Packers to join our team. As a Picker/Packer, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently processed. Your primary duties will involve selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. This role demands a high level of accuracy, speed, and attention to detail to meet our service level agreements. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order fulfillment lists.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and confirm picked items.
- Inspect products for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Pack items safely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Ensure all outgoing shipments are correctly labeled and documented.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station and warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and restocking as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking and packing targets.
- Understand and follow all logistics and shipping procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order sheets and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Must be able to handle lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards is a plus.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Basic understanding of logistics operations.
