We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse in Los Angeles, California. This role is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods. As a Forklift Operator, you will operate powered industrial trucks to transport materials, products, and other items throughout the warehouse. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, stocking inventory, and retrieving items for order fulfillment. Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all safety regulations are top priorities. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse safety, and the physical capability to perform the job duties, including lifting. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Stack and organize inventory according to warehouse procedures.
- Perform pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on forklifts.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA standards.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be reliable and possess a strong work ethic.
