Our growing logistics hub in Phoenix is looking for experienced Forklift Operators! As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and effectively to load, unload, and transport materials, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment for our team members.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and unstack merchandise.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Transport materials from receiving areas to storage locations and from storage to shipping docks.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate records of materials moved and inventory locations.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, such as cycle counts, as needed.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Follow all Logistics best practices for material handling and storage.
- Be mindful of your surroundings and ensure the Safety of yourself and others.
- Must be capable of performing tasks that involve significant Lifting when necessary.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Operate equipment in a manner that prevents damage to products and property.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
- Strong understanding of safe material handling techniques.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require Lifting and maneuvering.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
