Seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our bustling facility in Omaha, Nebraska. This position is essential for maintaining the efficient movement of goods within our logistics center. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, transport, and store materials. The ideal candidate possesses a valid forklift certification, a keen eye for detail, and an unwavering commitment to safety. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure the timely and accurate handling of inventory. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow within the logistics industry. Responsibilities include conducting pre-shift equipment checks, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining accurate logs. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and store materials efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance of forklift equipment.
- Report any equipment issues or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Follow proper lifting and material handling techniques.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Support overall warehouse logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and situational awareness.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
