Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and verify shipping labels, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation.
  • Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
  • Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and proper packaging.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and update the logistics management system.
  • Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipment status.
  • Operate shipping scales and other related equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
  • Adhere to strict safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the shipping department to enhance logistics efficiency.
  • Be ready for tasks involving moderate lifting, up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role.
  • Proficiency in using computers and shipping software.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of basic logistics principles.
