Are you an experienced Warehouse Technician looking for a new opportunity in Durham, North Carolina? We are seeking a skilled individual to maintain the operational integrity and efficiency of our warehouse facility. This role involves a mix of general warehouse duties and technical upkeep, ensuring all equipment is functioning optimally and the environment is safe and secure. You will be instrumental in troubleshooting minor equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed meticulously. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of warehouse operations, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety. Your contributions will directly support our logistics operations and help prevent costly downtime. This is a challenging and rewarding position for someone who takes pride in their work.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, conveyors, and pallet jacks.
- Ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently, conducting regular checks.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Identify and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards to management.
- Maintain an organized tool crib and parts inventory.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including material handling, shipping, and receiving as needed.
- Support the logistics team in maintaining warehouse cleanliness and orderliness.
- Perform lifting of materials up to 50 lbs as required.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the warehouse.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with warehouse equipment and general maintenance procedures. Knowledge of safety regulations in a warehouse environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to perform manual lifting up to 50 lbs. Possess relevant PPE and understand its importance. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining a safe and functional workplace within our logistics network.
