Join our vibrant team in Orlando, Florida, as a Shipping Clerk! We are looking for detail-oriented individuals to manage the accurate and timely dispatch of goods. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments meet company standards and customer requirements. This role is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring seamless product flow. Your duties will include verifying shipment contents, preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and loading trucks. Maintaining a safe work environment is a top priority, and all team members are expected to follow established Safety procedures and utilize appropriate PPE. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow within a company dedicated to efficient supply chain management. You will be the final checkpoint before our products reach their destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify accuracy of items being shipped against orders.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation (bills of lading, manifests, etc.).
- Schedule and coordinate with freight carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Physically assist with loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Ensure all packages are properly labeled and packaged for transit.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols and guidelines.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and move around the shipping area for extended periods.
- Requires attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for data entry and tracking.
- Must wear provided PPE.
- Understanding of shipping procedures and logistics is a plus.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
