We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Picker/Packers to join our growing team in San Francisco, California. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves and carefully packing them for shipment to our valued customers. This position requires a keen eye for detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to maintaining order accuracy. You will work closely with our logistics team to ensure timely and correct order fulfillment, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is physically capable of handling various items, possesses good organizational skills, and understands the importance of Safety in a warehouse setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the smooth operation of our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse shelves using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Inspect picked items for damage and ensure they match order specifications.
- Efficiently pack items into appropriate boxes or containers, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to facilitate efficient operations.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts and stock checks.
- Understand and follow instructions related to product handling and special packing requirements.
- Contribute to team goals and support overall logistics efficiency.
- Perform tasks involving frequent Lifting of packages up to a specified weight.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and order information accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent Lifting.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in Logistics environments is a plus.
