We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Associate to become an integral part of our operations in Washington, D.C. This role is essential for the smooth running of our warehouse and logistics functions. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including receiving and inspecting goods, organizing inventory, picking and packing orders, and preparing shipments. Your diligence and commitment to quality will ensure that our warehouse operates efficiently and safely. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Stock inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and rotation.
- Accurately pick items from inventory to fulfill customer orders.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Prepare orders for dispatch, including labeling and staging.
- Operate manual material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counting procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with all regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or general labor role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical duties, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Understanding of safe lifting techniques.
- Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
- Reliability and punctuality are crucial for success in this logistics role.
