Are you a detail-oriented individual looking for a rewarding role? We are seeking an efficient Picker/Packer for our busy warehouse facility in San Antonio, Texas. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a critical role in our logistics process by accurately selecting items for customer orders and preparing them for shipment. Your ability to work with speed and precision directly impacts customer satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our distribution center. You will utilize technology to track inventory and ensure order accuracy, contributing to a seamless customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from various warehouse locations using order sheets or scanners.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package items securely and appropriately for shipping, ensuring product protection.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Replenish stock in picking areas as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation and contribute to overall warehouse organization.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged items to supervision.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking and packing, or similar warehouse duties, is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret product descriptions and order details.
- Experience with RF scanning equipment is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are essential.
- Capacity to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Understanding of proper lifting techniques.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
