We are looking for a skilled and certified Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse in Dallas, Texas. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your role is crucial to the seamless operation of our logistics and distribution processes. You will operate industrial trucks to move goods from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to transport pallets, merchandise, and materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Stack and stage products in designated areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from obstructions.
- Accurately record inventory movements as required.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any operational issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors immediately.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, contributing to overall team goals in logistics.
- Participate in inventory counts and help maintain stock accuracy.
Qualifications:
Must possess a valid forklift operator certification. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment. Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Must be able to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential. Familiarity with logistics and inventory management systems is a plus.
