Join our team in Tampa, Florida, as a Receiving Clerk and be the first point of contact for incoming goods. Your responsibility will be to accurately receive, inspect, and document all incoming shipments, ensuring they match purchase orders and are free from damage. This role is fundamental to our warehouse Logistics, ensuring that inventory levels are accurate and that only quality products enter our system. We need organized individuals with a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. You will work closely with suppliers, warehouse staff, and management to ensure a seamless receiving process. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the quantity and quality of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system.
- Tag and stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Proper use of assigned PPE is mandatory.
- Coordinate with inventory control and other departments as needed.
- Assist with basic warehouse tasks, including occasional Lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency with computers and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to read and understand purchase orders and packing slips.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety standards.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
