Part Time General Surgery PA

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Dignity Health Medical Group is seeking a Part Time (0.5 FTE) General Surgery PA to serve our patients in beautiful Redding, CA, by helping to develop the General Surgery Service Line.

There are two positions available:

• One is a 1.0 FTE (Full time), working weekdays Monday- Friday, 8-hour schedule. Every fourth week, this position would work 3 days during the week, plus Saturday and Sunday.

• One position is 0.5 FTE (Part time) , working Saturday and Sunday, 10-hour schedule. This position is scheduled 3 weekends on, one weekend off.

These positions will be primarily hospital based at Mercy Medical Center Redding, but will work out of the Dignity Health Medical Group General Surgery Clinic.

Responsibilities will primarily consist of inpatient work, including

• Rounding on general surgery patients

• Consults

• First assist for Acute Care call (not elective surgeries)

• Helping develop the GS service line

• Management of the acute care surgery service

While candidates with surgical experience are preferred, new grads and those without surgical experience but eager to learn are encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation Range: $70,000 - $80,000 Part Time (0.5 FTE)
