Posit Science, the developers of BrainHQ, are hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer. The position is a full-time employee, for hybrid or remote work. Posit Science provides brain training exercises that are built with the power of brain plasticity the ability of the brain to change itself throughout life. Our flagship program is BrainHQ, a mobile and web-based brain training program that is clinically proven to improve cognitive performance and help people be at their best throughout their lives. We're deeply committed to science we were the first brain training company to run clinical trials to show that our program worked, and as a result we are the first brain training company to work with national distribution partners, including libraries, auto insurers, and health insurers. Our users tell us every week that our programs change their lives for the better. We're looking to build our Quality Assurance team. This team works together to evaluate and verify the quality of the software and other user-facing elements, to ensure that we delight our users in their experience with BrainHQ. Are you good at noticing odd behaviors or incorrect language in the software you use on a regular basis? Do you ever submit bug reports to companies based on the issues you find? You could be exactly right for this position! We're looking for people who: Have 1 to 2 years of experience manual testing products in a web or mobile environment Have experience with bug tracking systems such as JIRA/Bugzilla/Mantis Have experience with test management tools such as TestRail/Quality Center/Zephyr Are self-motivated and have the interest and ability to thrive in a small company environment Are skilled problem solvers who want to gain knowledge and develop new skills Are eligible to work in the US without sponsorship Are able to work during the core hours of 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM PST Prior experience: Working with accessibility tools is a plus, but not a requirement Working in an agile development team is a plus, but not a requirement With continuous build software such as Jenkins is a plus, but not a requirement Programming or writing scripts in languages such as Python/Shell/JavaScript is a plus, but not a requirement As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll help the development team by verifying new features, feature upgrades, and bug fixes to ensure quality and identify program defects. You will: Manually test across web, iOS, and Android platforms Identify and document test cases Run functional, regression and acceptance tests Write and regress bugs Find minimal reproduction steps Help develop and implement testing strategy and test plans for our product suite Interact with and effectively communicate with developers Posit Science is a great place to learn and grow.
