As a Fellow Software Engineer, you'll lead the development of our UI Platforms for web and mobile applications using React and React Native. Your role will be vital in defining and evolving the foundational elements that allow product teams to provide consistent, quality user experiences at an enterprise scale. This position involves operating within a regulated environment, with a focus on platform reliability, governance, and enabling developers. You'll work closely with product, design, security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to maintain a balance between swift market delivery and stability. The Work Itself: Lead the evolution of UI platform architecture for web and mobile applications. Evaluate emerging technologies and drive the strategic adoption of innovative solutions within our technology stack. Define and implement standards and best practices for React and React Native across product teams. Design and maintain shared libraries, design systems, and foundational components. Establish platform-wide solutions for state management, navigation, authentication, and other critical concerns. Ensure that platform solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, privacy, accessibility, and compliance. Empower product teams with comprehensive documentation, reference implementations, and developer tools. Lead the evolution of UI test automation strategies across platforms, ensuring scalability for rapid and safe delivery. Drive modernization efforts related to frameworks, technical debt, and performance improvements. Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and release strategies. Identify systemic risks and scalability challenges while leading initiatives to address them. Influence technical decisions across teams, leading design reviews and maintaining engineering standards while mentoring junior engineers. Familiarity with native mobile development concepts (iOS/Android) in relation to React Native is beneficial. The Skills You Bring: 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with expertise in UI development. Advanced proficiency in React, React Native, TypeScript, and modern front-end architecture. Demonstrated experience in designing and managing shared platforms, frameworks, and libraries. Experience in large-scale regulated environments requiring formal governance and compliance adherence. Strong grasp of performance, accessibility, and maintainability across projects. A proven ability to collaborate across teams and influence without direct authority. How We Support You: Ally's compensation package includes competitive base pay and performance-based incentives. Base Pay Range:
$135,000 - $235,000 USD. Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible for annual bonuses based on personal and company performance.
