Engage in data center networking initiatives, with opportunities to learn about and advance into Cisco ACI architectures.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance network performance across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center environments.
Implement and uphold network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, ACLs, and identity-based policies.
Assist in developing standardized configurations, network templates, and deployment methodologies for consistency and scalability.
Collaborate with systems, security, and operations teams to integrate networking solutions into a cohesive enterprise environment.
Participate in network incident response, root cause analysis, and service restoration efforts.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for network designs, diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
Stay updated with emerging Cisco technologies and industry best practices, especially in data center and SDN domains.
Ensure compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and security frameworks relevant to Navy and DoD environments.
Required Qualifications Active DoW Secret Clearance is required.
8+ years of hands-on experience as a network engineer in an enterprise setting.
Strong proficiency with Cisco routing and switching technologies including Catalyst, Nexus, IOS, and IOS XE.
Thorough understanding of core networking concepts like TCP/IP, OSPF, STP, VLANs, Inter-VRF routing, multicast, and network segmentation.
Experience supporting enterprise firewalls, VPN technologies, and identity-driven security solutions.
Familiarity with data center networking concepts and environments.
Robust troubleshooting skills, including packet analysis and performance diagnostics.
Ability to develop or maintain network configuration templates effectively.
Capability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse technical teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications Cisco certifications such as CCNP Enterprise or equivalent experience are a plus.
Interest in Cisco ACI, software-defined networking, and modern data center fabric designs.
Experience with Cisco ISE or other NAC solutions.
Familiarity with supporting hybrid cloud or virtualized environments like VMware or Hyper-V.
Basic knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible or Python.
Understanding of Zero Trust networking principles.
Experience working with Navy, DoD, or other regulated environments.
Basic Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship required.
