Senior Data Engineer - GCP
Location:
Southlake, TX (Secondary work location - Austin, TX)
What's the Job?
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines utilizing Google Cloud Platform tools such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, and Pub/Sub.
Develop high-performance Python and SQL scripts to support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Implement complex data models in BigQuery, optimizing for performance through partitioning, clustering, and materialized views.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders and subject matter experts, to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure high availability and performance of data pipelines, contributing to data architecture improvements and best practices.
What's Needed?
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of hands-on experience in data management, consolidating data from multiple sources, and transforming it for analysis and visualization.
Strong expertise in Google BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, and related GCP services.
Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing, automation, and pipeline development.
Experience with ETL processes, data pipeline design, and implementing data quality, governance, and security standards.
