Brooke Pinto is the Councilmember representing DC's Ward 2. She is running to represent DC in Congress in the Democratic primary to be held this June. The campaign is seeking a creative, motivated Digital Content Manager to join our team. The Manager will work with the Campaign Manager to execute a digital content plan, leading social media strategy, and drafting, scheduling, and engaging with content across social media platforms.
Responsibilities Draft engaging social media content (posts, graphics, captions, and threads) tailored for multiple platforms (e.g., Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, BlueSky). Assist in maintaining a consistent posting schedule to highlight campaign updates, events, and messaging priorities. Monitor engagement and help respond to comments/messages in line with campaign guidelines. Collaborate with campaign staff to brainstorm creative ways to connect with voters and supporters online. Track and report on social media metrics to assess performance and improve content. Stay on top of trends in digital media and political communications.
Qualifications 1-2 cycles campaign cycles, or equivalent, Strong writing and communication skills, with an eye for concise and compelling messaging. Familiarity with major social media platforms and current trends. Graphic design, video editing including CapCut Pro, and Canva, Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
