We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to help us drive significant improvements in our data infrastructure and analytics processes. $65.00 to $80.00/hr. W2 Responsibilities: Design and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
Develop and refine Snowflake data models following industry best practices.
Implement ELT and ETL processes for transforming raw data for analysis.
Create and maintain dimensional models for effective business analytics.
Build Python backend APIs for facilitating seamless data integration and access.
Write clean, production-ready Python code enriched with documentation and tests.
Develop RESTful APIs connecting data infrastructures to applications and tools.
Establish robust data validation, quality assurance checks, and monitoring solutions.
Utilize Azure services, such as Data Lake, SQL, and Functions, for comprehensive data solutions.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code to enhance data workflows.
Manage and optimize cloud resources with a focus on cost efficiency and performance.
Ensure compliance with data security, governance, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements.
Translate business necessities into effective technical data solutions.
Thoroughly document data pipelines, processes, and architecture.
Participate in code reviews and advocate for best engineering practices.
Experience Requirements: 3 to 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
Proficient in Python for both data engineering and backend development.
Extensive experience with Databricks, including PySpark and Delta Lake.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake for data modeling and optimization.
Familiarity with Azure services, including Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL.
Strong SQL skills with expertise in relational databases.
Experience using Git for collaborative development.
In-depth understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes.
Familiarity with data formats like Parquet, Avro, and Delta.
Experience in developing and optimizing data pipelines for large-scale applications.
Knowledge of data quality, governance, and security principles.
Experience with dbt for transformation workflows is desirable.
Familiarity with streaming technologies, such as Kafka, is preferred.
Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow is a plus.
Experience with visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is preferred.
Understanding of DataOps and agile methodologies is advantageous.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform is a plus.
Knowledge of data mesh or data lakehouse architecture is beneficial.
Education Requirements: Preferred Azure certifications include Azure Data Engineer Associate or Databricks certifications.
