This position partners closely with stakeholders across Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, IT Infrastructure, and IT Security, supporting audit readiness and governed data access.
Primary responsibilities:
Supporting the integration of internal systems with Azure public cloud and external SaaS platforms. Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance efficiency, reliability, and innovation across cloud-based data services. Evaluate and recommend emerging Azure and Sr. Data Engineering technologies to support scalability, operational excellence, and Collaborate with IT and business leaders to align technical solutions with strategic objectives, driving innovation and continuous process improvement in support of organizational strategy Maintain high data quality and consistency through rigorous testing and validation Design and optimize data pipelines in partnership with IT Operations and Applications teams, following best practices in observability, monitoring, and compliance. Translate business requirements into scalable, secure cloud-based data architectures. Demonstrate adaptability by staying current with evolving Azure technologies and applying practical, service-oriented solutions. Prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, maintaining accuracy and detail. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, architecture visuals (e.g., Visio), and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, using strong written and verbal communication skills. To be successful in this role, you should have:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is strongly preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience with relevant technologies will also be considered. 6+ years of experience in Sr. Data Engineering, including direct experience with Azure-based platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL, and other related services. Experience deploying containerized data services using Azure Container Instances for scalable and modular pipeline execution. Skill in CI/CD practices and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g. ARM templates and Terraform) for scalable deployments. Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python for data transformation, automation, and orchestration. Experience integrating data from diverse sources including Blob Storage, ADLS, SQL databases, and CSV flat files. Experience or exposure to leveraging LLMs (e.g. Azure OpenAI and ChatGPT) in Sr. Data Engineering for semantic search, structured data extraction, summarization, and data enrichment. Ability to proactively monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure performance and reliability Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and security principles. What's in it for you?

Compensation : $140,000-150,000 (depending on experience and geographical location)
Location : This position is remote; candidates must be located in a state in which HumanGood operates (CA, PA, WA, OR, ID, NV, AZ, MA).
