Position Summary As a Software Engineering Manager in Engineering Systems, you will: Lead a talented internal platform team that enables Relativity developers to create high-impact products. Develop and mentor a high-performing team of software engineers. Act as a subject matter expert for the product features your team manages. Drive decisions related to your team's operations and goals. Receive ongoing mentorship and guidance from leadership to ensure your success. Key Responsibilities People & Performance Management Guide a scrum team to achieve success through Agile methodologies. Foster a culture of high performance and efficiency. Strategically allocate team members' efforts based on organizational priorities. Enhance organizational effectiveness using industry best practices tailored for SaaS products. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to support your direct reports. Encourage knowledge-sharing and continuous learning among the team. Provide technical guidance in your team’s domain and feature set. Support career development and growth opportunities for team members. Oversee team workload, hiring processes, and performance evaluations. Technology & Strategy Leadership Stay current with industry trends as a technology advisor. Contribute actively to software design, development, and integration processes. Collaborate with lead engineers and architects to create effective solutions. Develop a strategic vision for your team's area of expertise. Implement operational policies and spearhead process improvements. Qualifications Positive attitude and strong collaboration skills. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. 4+ years of experience managing software development teams. 10+ years of experience in commercial-grade software development. Experience in leading remote teams. Strong knowledge of modern programming languages and object-oriented programming. Expertise in high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed systems. Proficiency in cloud environments (SaaS, PaaS). Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi. Ability to inspire teams and enhance productivity under pressure. Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills. Experience with Agile methodologies. Knowledge of automation tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins. Demonstrated success in leading SaaS or PaaS products. Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure. Compensation Relativity is devoted to maintaining competitive, just, and equitable compensation practices. This role offers a total compensation package that includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives. The expected salary range for this role is between $155,000 and $233,000, with the final offered salary dependent on factors such as depth of experience, qualifications, and internal pay equity.
