01/20/2026 This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring onsite presence every other week for five days in Durham, NC, Westlake, TX, or Merrimack, NH. The Network Core and Site Engineering team plays a crucial role in the architecture, engineering, deployment, and support of our global WAN and LAN, which encompasses data center fabrics, campus networks, and interconnects. We seek a talented engineer to enhance our automated EVPN-VXLAN environments, support various infrastructure projects and upgrades, and ensure secure and efficient network operations. Responsibilities: Design, engineer, document, and implement core routing and switching solutions for data centers and co-locations.
Engineer and operate EVPN-VXLAN overlay and underlay environments across diverse platforms.
Support infrastructure projects, including new implementations and hardware upgrades.
Conduct code certification and execute vendor code upgrades and hot fixes.
Maintain network security through rigorous change management practices.
Provide operational support and participate in an on-call rotation for critical issues.
Document complex technologies and topologies using Visio.
Collaborate with enterprise infrastructure teams to deliver reliable and automated network services.
Experience Requirements: Strong background with EVPN-VXLAN configuration and troubleshooting.
Experience with overlay technologies, specifically VXLAN and EVPN-BGP.
Proficient in configuring and supporting HPE and Cisco networking platforms.
Demonstrated ability in network engineering and troubleshooting within enterprise environments.
Knowledgeable in routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, VRF.
Familiar with switched protocols: PVST, RPVST, HSRP/VRRP.
Understanding of monitoring protocols: SNMP, Syslog, Telemetry.
Experience in designing and supporting data center networks.
Knowledge of essential network services including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, and SSH.
Proficiency in infrastructure automation using scripting languages (bash, Python, Ansible) and REST APIs.
Familiarity with network observability and monitoring systems.
Excellent communication, time management, tactical planning, and technical writing skills.
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Network Engineering, or 8+ years of related experience.
Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification (preferred).
