Key Responsibilities: Partner with data scientists and business analysts to convert research code into production-ready services and repeatable processes.
Configure and manage cloud resources within OCI, including IAM policies, VCNs, access rules, logging, and monitoring.
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for R and Python applications using OCI DevOps, Git-based workflows, and Artifact Registry.
Containerize workloads using Docker, Build Service, or similar tools to ensure reproducible and scalable deployment patterns.
Set up and manage static web hosting using OCI Object Storage, CDN, and DNS configuration.
Possess hands-on cloud experience, ideally with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, but with a willingness to ramp up on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Take full ownership of designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced data pipelines and platforms, providing technical leadership from gathering requirements to production delivery.
Architect, build, and optimize large-scale, reliable, and secure data workflows on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, utilizing services such as OCI Data Flow, Data Integration, and Autonomous Data Warehouse.
Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to comprehend requirements and convert them into scalable technical solutions.
Lead the evaluation and integration of new Oracle cloud-native data technologies and tools, promoting continuous improvement across data engineering processes.
Ensure adherence to Oracle's global security, privacy, and data management policies, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
Mentor and guide junior team members in best practices, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and operational excellence.
Prepare and present technical proposals, architecture reviews, and optimization recommendations to both technical and business leadership.
Transform business needs into effective working solutions.
Promote cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing to enhance technical expertise within the organization.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
5+ years of professional data engineering experience, showcasing a track record of designing and delivering large-scale data platforms in a cloud environment.
Advanced proficiency with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Autonomous Data Warehouse, Oracle Database, and Oracle Data Integration tools.
Extensive experience in data modeling, warehousing, ETL/ELT design patterns, and building production-grade data solutions using Oracle products.
Strong grasp of data security, privacy, and best practices in a regulated enterprise context.
Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with proven success in cross-team collaboration.
Experience in mentoring or providing technical oversight in data engineering best practices.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading migration projects or constructing greenfield data platforms on OCI.
Familiarity with Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Machine Learning, and DevOps practices for data workloads.
Professional Oracle certifications in cloud data management or related fields.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees. Accrued Vacation is offered to all other eligible staff. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years and 18 days for subsequent years. Vacation accrual rate is prorated for those working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours are not eligible for vacation.
