Position: Database Administrator II
Job Duties:
Performs installations and maintenance of new and existing customer systems (Oracle Databases), including backup and recovery, data integrity investigation and correction, replication of data between multiple sites, performance analysis and tuning. Ability to learn, analyze and support the SYNKROS application from the database perspective- including identifying and correcting data issues. Performs data conversion tasks associated with customer installations. Uses Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, Oracle RDBMS 10g, 11g to perform duties successfully. Makes additions, corrections, creation, and documentation of existing database schema. Creation of database objects like tables, views, materialized views, procedures, and packages using oracle tools like Toad, PL/SQL developer and SQL * PLUS. QualificationsJob Requirements:
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or closely related field. Employer will accept foreign equivalent if in the same field.
Experience Requirements:
60 months of experience in job offered, Senior Oracle Developer, Specialist – Software Engineering, Project Lead, or closely related experience.
Special skills requirements:
Experience developing and maintaining database objects (tables, views, procedures, packages) using Oracle PL/SQL, T-SQL, and Sybase ASE, supporting both major and minor application enhancement requests. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather database requirements and contribute to the design of scalable and efficient data-driven applications. Experience with the full change management lifecycle, including development, unit and integration testing, and deployment of database changes to support application feature rollouts and production releases. Experience with database design and architecture and developed disaster recovery solutions for Oracle 11g ,12c and 19c. Able to conduct root cause analysis on performance and reliability issues, proposing long-term stabilization solutions and coordinating with clients and technical teams to implement fixes.
Salary: $120,000/year
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week
