Job Description As a
Lead DevOps Engineer , you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing cutting-edge Oracle Internet of Things (IoT) Platform components on OCI. Your expertise will span across various layers of
cloud infrastructure , the
Oracle Autonomous Database , and
Java microservices , enabling the creation of scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems. Qualifications: Education BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. Experience 4+ years in software development, with 3+ years in a senior DevOps engineering role focused on
cloud-native
applications. Core Skills Helm : Design, maintain, and support Helm charts.
Terraform : Design, maintain, and support infrastructure and continuous delivery automation.
Java : Strong grasp of design principles, concurrency, and microservices architecture.
Cloud experience
within major platforms (OCI preferred).
Observability : Familiarity with metrics, logs, and tracing tools like Grafana, OCI Monitoring, OCI APM/Logging.
Docker and Kubernetes : Expertise in containerization and orchestration of Java and database-integrated workloads.
Cloud networking and security
fundamentals.
Version control and CI/CD
tools and practices.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
spanning application and database layers.
Preferred Skills Familiarity with
data pipeline
and streaming tools.
Experience with
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
and large-scale environment provisioning.
Understanding of
cloud data governance, encryption, and auditing practices.
Familiarity with features of
Java 21
(or later).
Knowledge of
OCI DevOps tools
such as Shepherd, Region Build, ODO, Lumberjack, and DevOps Pipelines.
Experience with
Oracle Autonomous Database 26ai
and
Transactional Event Queues (TEQ) .
Responsibilities Automate schema deployments , tenant provisioning, and database lifecycle operations to enhance operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
to ensure the delivery of secure, high-quality software on time.
Build and operate control-plane and data-plane components , focusing on reliability, observability, and high availability.
Conduct code and configuration reviews
to enhance design, performance, and maintainability.
Utilize OCI cloud-native services and tools
to deliver reliable, containerized deployments leveraging Kubernetes and Docker.
Stay updated with advancements
in Oracle Autonomous Database, Java, and OCI technologies to continuously refine system design and boost developer productivity.
Disclaimer: Certain US customer or client-facing roles may require compliance with specific requirements related to health mandates. US Hiring Range:
