Reeson Education are seeking a practical, engaging and committed Design and Technology Teacher to join a specialist SEMH PRU setting in West Drayton. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative Design and Technology Teacher to work with students who benefit from hands-on learning and vocational engagement. The school in West Drayton is looking for a confident Design and Technology Teacher who can inspire pupils through practical skills, structured projects, and positive mentoring.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver engaging lessons as a Design and Technology Teacher
Teach practical DT skills such as woodwork, basic construction, or product design
Support students with SEMH needs to engage positively in learning
Create structured, hands-on lessons that build confidence and routine
Encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity
Maintain a safe and organised workshop/classroom environment
Work closely with support staff and pastoral teams
The school in West Drayton supports pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs who often respond best to practical and vocational subjects. As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will play a key role in helping students develop life skills, resilience, and confidence through engaging projects and consistent support.
