ROLE OVERVIEW As Design Manager, you will lead the coordination of all design disciplines across the project lifecycle. You will manage design programmes, approvals, and information flow, ensuring design deliverables are issued on time and to the required quality, supporting successful delivery on programme and in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.
KEY DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES Design Programme & Information Control • Create, agree, and manage the design programme and information release plan, ensuring alignment with the overall construction programme. • Control design deliverables, RFIs, design queries, and design actions through structured trackers and governance. • Contribute to change control by identifying design impacts, issuing updates, and supporting approvals. Design Coordination & Approvals • Manage the design approval process for drawings, technical submittals, specifications, and samples using formal workflows. • Coordinate design consultants, specialist contractors, and internal teams to ensure accurate and compliant information. • Lead Contractor Design Proposals and maintain the design responsibility matrix and associated documentation.
