As a Design Engineer based in Staffordshire (hybrid, two days on site), youll guide concepts into robust, manufacturable products for a well-known UK brand. Expect supplier exposure, meaningful ownership, and travel when it counts. £40-45k basic salary plus hybrid working and a very competitive benefits package.
Scope of the Role As a
Design Engineer , youll add technical judgement early, then own delivery through manufacture. Youll work with industrial design, suppliers, and stakeholders to reduce risk and move faster. Develop products from concept to manufacture. Assess feasibility, trade-offs, risk, and delivery routes. Produce CAD, drawings, BOMs, and documentation. Apply DFM across plastics, metals, and assemblies. Engage UK and international suppliers through sampling and pre-production.
