Associate Event Planner
Duet Events | Toronto (with Travel as Required)
Duet Events is seeking an Associate Event Planner to support the planning and execution of weddings and events under the Duet brand. This role is ideal for a planner who is confident in managing details, timelines, and vendor relationships, and who thrives working within a collaborative, design-forward team.
The Associate Event Planner works under the guidance of Duet’s leadership team and is responsible for executing events to Duet’s standards, while contributing to a seamless client experience from planning through production.
Role Overview
The Associate Event Planner supports the end-to-end planning and execution of assigned events, acting as a key point of contact for clients and vendors while operating within established scopes, budgets, and brand standards. This role focuses on execution excellence rather than business development or personal branding.
All work is performed under the Duet Events umbrella.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and manage assigned weddings and events from planning through on-site execution
- Coordinate vendor sourcing, outreach, and communication in alignment with Duet’s preferred partners and standards
- Assist with budget tracking, vendor contracts, and financial organization
- Prepare timelines, production schedules, and planning documentation
- Communicate confidently and professionally with clients, vendors, and senior stakeholders
- Participate in site visits, walk-throughs, and rehearsals as required
- Be onsite for key event moments and execution days as scheduled
- Collaborate closely with Duet leadership and internal team members to ensure consistency and quality across all events
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of event planning experience
- Proven experience working in high-calibre venues and environments
- Comfortable planning and executing events with multiple vendors and moving parts
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator, comfortable interacting with clients, vendors, and decision-makers
- Experience managing budgets and vendor negotiations
- Luxury event experience is an asset, but not required
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to travel locally as needed
