This full-time position requires a Test Automation Engineer to support enterprise software development initiatives for a public-sector client. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining automated testing solutions that validate business workflows and ensure application quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites using Low-Code or Model-Based testing platforms
* Translate business and functional requirements into stable, repeatable automated test cases
* Execute automated testing cycles and monitor active test runs
* Analyze execution logs and troubleshoot failed test scenarios
* Perform functional validation of business workflows against defined requirements
* Collaborate with technical leads, developers, and business analysts to refine test scenarios
* Document defects and validate resolutions through regression testing
* Support continuous testing activities integrated within development pipelines
*Mandatory Requirements*
* At least three (3) years of total experience in software development and test automation, with a primary focus on implementation, maintenance, and execution of automated test suites
* At least two (2) years of hands-on experience developing automated test cases using Low-Code or Model-Based testing platforms
* At least two (2) years of experience in Test Execution & Monitoring, including triggering automated suites and analyzing execution logs
* At least two (2) years of experience performing Functional Test Analysis and translating business scenarios into executable testing steps
*Desired Experience and Requirements*
* At least two (2) years of experience utilizing Defect Management and Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Octane)
* Experience supporting Continuous Testing processes within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
* At least two (2) years of experience in Test Data Utilization and troubleshooting data-related failures
* At least one (1) year of FTE experience within the last five (5) years using HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT) or Tricentis Tosca
* Certification in Tricentis Tosca (Automation Specialist Level 1 or Level 2 required; copy must be provided)
* Located in California
This position is available as either a W2 or 1099 position. *No staffing agencies, please.*
_This position will require a background check and, in the future, may require some amount of on-site work in Sacramento, CA. _
