*Job Summary*
B3 Commercial services are a family run business. We are currently looking for a 4th mobile technician to join the team. You will be working in different parts of Herts, Beds Bucks and further. We will provide you with the van, fuel card, phone/ipad and diagnostics equipment then the rest is in your hands. Our fitters have a healthy work /life balance that suites them.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician or someone looking to get into the trade to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to ensure optimal safety and operational efficiency. This role requires a strong mechanical background, proficiency with electrical systems, and experience with various tools and equipment. The ideal applicant will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. *Responsibilities*
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HGVs, including lorries, trailers and LGV’S. * Diagnose faults using schematics, electrical diagrams, and diagnostic tools. * Perform repairs involving fabrication, welding, soldering, and electrical work as required. * Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out repairs and assembly tasks. * Repair or replace components such as brakes, engines, transmissions, suspensions, and hydraulic systems. We like a can do attitude with a practical look at repairs * Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts utilised. You will be supplied with a phone and ipad. * Assist with the installation of new equipment or modifications to existing vehicles. * Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards. * Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance schedules. *Experience*
* Proven experience working as an HGV Technician or in a similar heavy vehicle maintenance role. Any one looking for a role change or apprenticeships also welcome under discussion. * Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance. * Proficiency in reading schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals. * Experience with fabrication, welding, soldering, and electrical systems is desirable. * Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for vehicle repair. * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during maintenance tasks. * Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and reporting. This role is ideal for a motivated individual eager to learning or utilise there skills within a supportive team environment dedicated to quality service delivery.
Pay: £30,152.74-£52,225.11 per year
