Inpatient + 24-Hour Call Coverage No Clinic EPIC

365 Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon for inpatient and call coverage in Waterloo and Cedar Falls, Iowa. This is strictly a locum tenens assignment to cover vacation and scheduled time-off gaps.

No clinic responsibilities. Hospital-based coverage only.

• Wednesday, August 5 at 7:00 AM Monday, August 10 at 7:00 AM
• Monday, October 26 at 7:00 AM Friday, November 6 at 7:00 AM

• 24-hour on-call coverage
• Inpatient coverage at both facilities
• No outpatient clinic duties
• Weekend coverage included

Primary Facility: Waterloo, IA
Secondary Facility: Cedar Falls, IA

• Inpatient and emergency consult coverage
• Average daily hospital census: patients across both locations
• 4 Orthopedic Physicians on staff
• 4 Advanced Practice Providers
• No APP supervision required
• EMR: Epic Enterprise
• All ages patient population

Orthopedic coverage includes evaluation, diagnosis, consultation, and treatment of:

• Trauma and fracture care
• Spine, hand, foot, knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow conditions
• Degenerative musculoskeletal disease
• Orthopedic infections and tumors
• Metabolic and deformity-related conditions
• ICU consults as needed per hospital policy
• Emergency stabilization and consultative call services

• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship trained in Orthopedic Surgery
• Active Iowa License or Active IMLC
• Must be able to cover both required coverage blocks
• Experienced surgeon comfortable with trauma coverage
• Clean malpractice and background history
• NPDB Self-Query (within current month)
